At Hope, we take pride in delivering personalized, compassionate care to our patients and their caretakers in Sangamon County and the surrounding areas. (Springfield, Chatham, Rochester, Pleasant Plains, Sherman, Williamsville, Athens, Petersburg, Auburn, Virden, Riverton, etc.)
Our family aims to provide a comfortable environment for your family; we want everyone, whether two legged or four, to feel welcome when they enter Hope’s doors. We offer a warm hello (coffee anyone?) for you and a good ol’ tummy rub or ear scratchin’ for your furry pal.
We strive to do our utmost for you and your pet. We love your pet almost as much as you do and we hope you realize just how much when you walk through our doors and see how we interact with, tailor the visit to and yes, even sometimes spoil your pet. It’s what we do..
We are proud to have Fear Free certified professionals on our team and are dedicated to caring for your pet’s emotional well-being as well as his or her physical well-being.
Hope Veterinary Care has achieved the highest level of veterinary excellence following a thorough evaluation by the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA). We earned AAHA accreditation after a rigorous review of the hospital’s practice protocols, medical equipment, facility and client service.
Cat Friendly Practice
We are committed to providing quality care to our feline patients. When we heard about the CFP program, we knew it was time to take a fresh look at the practice to determine what could be done to make the veterinary visit more positive for cats and cat owners.
"I wish we'd have switched to Hope sooner! After years of mixed messages and rushed care from a previous vet, Dr. Sherrock and Kayla made us and our nervous little dog Murray feel instantly at home and in good hands. They took the time to understand our dog and make sure we understood their recommendations. Getting to meet internet celebrity Gillie the goat helps, too! ;)"
"I love this veterinary clinic! Clean, reasonable rates, and an enthusiastic staff who is very focused on getting to know your animal. They have a separate waiting room for cats. They even volunteered to cat-sit for me for an hour while I went next door to get a pedicure. Ha!"
"We brought our new dog Roxy into Hope Veterinary for the first time and couldn't have been more impressed with everyone who took care of us. The doc was awesome and the staff was extremely helpful and attentive. Highly recommend to anyone looking for quality animal care with a personal touch!"
"Wonderful and caring people. They take the time to explain all the options available to provide the best care for your pets and treat them like family."
"Lyle and Roxy enjoy going to Hope. They do not become anxious when they are there. They receive treats, love and excellent care."
"This place is wonderful, the entire staff is so loving with animals. They are so caring and understanding, go see Dr Sherrock!!!"
